This theme park has six roller coasters, several rides for families and kids, and various activities like ziplining, motion simulators, and roof walks. Ferrari World Abu Dhabi also houses the fastest roller coaster in the world, the Formula Rossa. The other Ferrari theme park is in Ferrari land. 

2. Formula Rossa is the fastest roller coaster in the world. 

Located at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Formula Rossa has a maximum speed of 149.1 miles per hour. This roller coaster was first launched in 2010 when the theme park opened, and quickly became popular due to its speed. Although it is not the tallest roller coaster in the world, its speed and agility make it a popular tourist attraction. The shape of this roller coaster was inspired by Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, an Italian race track. 

3. The first Ferrari car was the Ferrari 125 S.

It was in 1947 that the first Ferrari car was built, and only two models were made till date! This car was actually the second car that Enzo Ferrari’s company made, but it was the first car that bore the company’s label. Ferrari debuted this car at the Piacenza racing circuit. It was made from a Ferrari-built and designed engine as well. 

4. The Ferrari’s logo is iconic because of the image of a horse. 

One of the most distinct features of any Ferrari product is the logo that accompanies it. In Italian, the logo is referred to as Ferrari Cavallino Rampante, which translates to Prancing Horse. After Enzo Ferrari visited the Count and Countess of Italy, Countess Paolina Baracca recommended that Enzo use the image of a horse on his cars to bring good luck. Their son had fought in World War II, and painted a horse on a yellow background on the side of his plane, and felt that the image brought him good luck.

5. Ferrari only manufactures around 8,000 to 12,000 cars per year.

6. Scuderia Ferrari is the most successful racing team. 

Scuderia Ferrari has won over 5,000 races overall ever since the team was first started, and is, till date, the most successful racing team in Formula 1 history! Since the year 1950, this team has participated in every single World Championship season. Ferrari has won 16 constructors’ championships and 15 drivers’ championships. 

7. The Museo Ferrari is dedicated to the company’s previous sports cars.

8. Every Ferrari car is assembled by hand. 

When this company said they put a lot of work into each car’s craftsmanship, they meant it! Every single car that Ferrari manufactures is assembled by hand. The company has an in-house foundry that casts the shape of the engine, after which each piece is assembled by hand. In our research, we also discovered that the only components of a Ferrari car that are made entirely from a machine is the valve connections. 

9. The 1962 250 GTO is one of  the most expensive Ferrari cars ever sold.

The 1962 250 GTO was sold for a whopping $51.7 million at auction! This car had previously been sold for $39 and $49 million in the past but was later sold for $51.7 million at an auction held at Sotheby’s in New York City. The model that was sold was the company’s ninth model ever made. However, in 2018, a 1963 250 GTO was sold for $70 million as well to an anonymous bidder.
